Founded in 1974, Kahumana began as a community of individuals seeking an alternative approach to creating a holistic world. Over the years, it has expanded to encompass five distinct campuses spread across more than 50 acres in the picturesque Lualualei Valley on the sunny west side of O’ahu.
Kahumana is a vibrant mix of folks from all walks of life: farmers, social workers, entrepreneurs, those finding their feet after homelessness, tourists, locals, young ones, and folks with disabilities. Together, they’re on a mission to honor Hawaii’s beautiful natural and cultural heritage while tackling some of its toughest challenges.
In essence, Kahumana is a vibrant, inclusive community dedicated to holistic living and healing, driven by core values of mindfulness, empathy, and collaboration.
